This is as far as I got last night before I realised my sight was going and that I was bleeding badly out of the lines, particularly with Daisuke. I’m tempted to scan the sketch in and do it with SAI instead, but Hikari;s hair is so pretty and the blending on her gloves is surprisingly nice <3
Doodled one of the weirder ideas for Daikari fanart today. It happened because I bought The Sims 2 the other day, and after running out of OCs to make, I reverted to anime characters. Anyhoo, I’ve got a party going on and as I’m watching Taichi, Sora, Yamato and Takeru play darts etc, I realise after hours I have no idea where Daisuke and Hikari have gotten to. I find them in the bedroom, playing chess. It’s the first time they’ve met and by the time I found them they’d maxed out the friendship bar thingie playing chess. Weird but SO cute!
I’m not even sure where they’d get a chessboard. I’m starting to think maybe a failed present for Taichi from someone like Koushiro XD

You’d think my first Digimon fanart in 6 years would be significantly more recognisable as you know…. Digimon fanart. I had no references so I just went mad with the outfits, so they look pretty western.
I wish I could find my camera, my scanner doesn’t do the colours justice- it was only a quick doodle with quick colours, trying to look soft, but the scanner blurred Hikari’s face and ruined most of it XD

I am annoyed the rep people always give shippers in the Digimon Fandom or any fandom in general.
Just because they ship doesn’t mean it’s the only thing they care about in the show.
There are plenty of things to love, shipping is just one aspect.
Let the shippers ship and stop trying to make them feel guilty for it.
